Hot air balloon makes emergency landing in California backyard

A Temecula, Calif., couple woke up to find a hot air balloon carrying 13 people in their backyard on Saturday.

The pilot said he had to make an emergency landing because the balloon was hovering and running out of fuel. No injuries were reported.

“I’m surprised they miss our trees. They miss our houses,” Jenna Perrin said. “They were practically kissing the fence.”
