Google releases Gemini in Chrome in seven new countries

Google announced on Monday that it is making its Gemini feature in Chrome available in seven new markets, including Australia, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Vietnam. The company is offering this for desktop and iOS in all countries except Japan.

The company has been integrating AI and Gemini in many ways in Chrome since last year through floating windows.

Earlier this year, the company launched a side-by-side assistant that will help users answer questions on all tabs, as well as use Gemini’s Personal Intelligence feature, which allows users to connect with services such as Gmail and Google Photos, to respond to their preferences. Users can also schedule meetings with Calendar, search for location information with Maps, and write and send emails with Gmail through this feature in Chrome.

Users can also edit photos online. using Nano Banana 2 on the sidebar.

Gemini in Chrome was available US-based users in the January launch, and the company expanded its presence to India, Canada, and New Zealand in March.

With this launch, Gemini in Chrome is available in many countries. However, the company’s feature, which can control your browser window to complete tasks for you, is being tested and is available to AI Pro and AI Ultra users who pay for plans in the US.
