Los Angeles Angels pay tribute to late Garrett Anderson Friday, April 17 against the San Diego Padres.
The team wore Anderson’s commemorative patch during the game and will wear it for the remainder of the season. They also played a video tribute at Angel Stadium and held a moment of silence before the game.
‘He’s a baseball player and he does everything right,’ Angels manager Kurt Suzuki Tell MLB.com Anderson. “Nothing flashy…He never pimped out a home run. That’s who I want my kids to emulate. Just play the game right, do the right things, and never call attention to yourself.”
Suzuki played with Anderson throughout his MLB career.

Anderson, a three-time All-Star and key player for the Angels, died Thursday, April 16, of a “medical emergency” at his home in Newport Beach, California. He is 53 years old.
