Police chase suspect on horseback through New York streets

Body camera footage shows a New York police officer on horseback patrol chasing an alleged purse snatcher on a city street.

NYPD officers yelled at the woman multiple times to stop running, but she refused to do so. The woman was eventually stopped by a pedestrian and detained by police.

The woman was charged with theft and giving false information. Authorities said the woman had served time in prison after being convicted of murder in the April 2000 shooting death of a taxi driver.
