Family says prominent Palestinian prisoner attacked three times in one month

Since the deadly Hamas-led attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, which triggered the war in Gaza, United Nations agencies and Israeli human rights groups have reported an increase in allegations of abuse of Palestinian prisoners and detainees, including routine beatings, sexual violence, starvation and gross medical negligence. Dozens of Palestinians have reportedly died in detention as a result.
