As reported on Saturday, April 11, CNN reportsTrump, 79, has “privately advocated” for the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, located next to the White House, to be coated with so-called “miracle paint,” a silicate product.
Proponents of the product claim that it chemically bonds to the stone’s surface, strengthening it and preventing staining while improving durability. The paint color was also “bright white,” consistent with the president’s “aesthetic taste,” the news outlet reported.
According to documents obtained by CNN, Trump privately claimed that the “miracle paint” would “strengthen the stone, repel water, prevent staining, be easy to apply and rarely require painting.”

However, experts believe that not only is it illegal to paint the building, but the paint simply won’t work on the building’s granite surface.
“Mineral silicate coatings are not suitable for use on granite,” the experts concluded in documents obtained by CNN, adding that if the “miracle coating” was used it could cause “permanent damage” to the building and “will not enhance the granite or improve its structural durability.”
