X is doing automatic translation and image editing with the help of Grok


Social media site X is now rolling out a new feature that automatically translates text. The company is also introducing a new image editor with the ability to edit images using natural languages. All these features are powered by Grok’s xAI models. The company is committed to making the in-app experience better for users with these updates.

Late Tuesday, X’s chief executive officer Nikita Bier he announced this translation is happening all over the world. You can click the tools icon on a translated post and turn off automatic translation in that language.

Some social networks have also tried this book to make the articles reach more people around the world. Reddit has been experimenting and machine translation for the past few years.

Social media is also emerging a new photo editor to its iOS app. This update includes things like graphics and text. Additionally, there is a red tool that allows you to hide other features, such as faces or sensitive information, such as credit card or Social Security numbers, from a photo.

In addition, the company is also supporting users to ask Grok to replace the image with natural language. For example, you can ask “display this image as a museum piece,” and Grok will create the image for you. The company said it plans to bring the update to the Android app soon.

Then the company canceled photo editing feature for paid users only. It’s unclear whether X’s new AI-powered photo editing feature will be limited to paid users.
