just because Léger-Jean Page Not turned on bridgeton It no longer means that he does not understand the most important story life of the play—— And more divisive twists.
“I check in (in Bridgeton) from time to time because I have a lot of friends and people I love there and they do a great job,” Paige, 38, told us Duger Monday, April 6th.
“I’m not entirely up to date yet, but I know enough not to go around asking anyone to be my mistress any time soon,” he quipped.
The mistress mentioned is a reference to the fourth season of Netflix’s hit series, Benedict (Luke Thompson) faced backlash for committing to an initial love interest, Sophie (Ha Ye-rim) Asking her to be with him secretly.
As far as Page is concerned, Not yet opened bridgeton since The show premiered in 2020. “Bridgerton” is based on the book series written by Julia Quinn and follows members of the wealthy Bridgerton family as they search for love in 19th-century London. The first season mainly tells about Daphne’s (Phoebe Dynevor) an unexpected connection with Simon.
Viewers fell in love with Page and his character after the show premiered, which makes his departure even more shocking. Netflix announced in April 2021 that Page would no longer be reprising her role as Despite his plans, the Duke of Hastings Daphne will appear in future seasons.

Liam Daniel/NetflixWhile fans have publicly expressed their disappointment at not seeing more of Simon’s story, Page remains adamant about his decision. While Daphne still made several appearances in season two, Dynevor, 30, later confirmed that she was exiting the show, which didn’t appear to be her choice.
Most recently, Page attended Essence’s Black Women in Hollywood event last month, where he was asked by red carpet host Leah Henry how “a lot of people” on the internet had expressed interest in having his character Simon return to Bridgerton.
“Is there any chance you’ll come back?” she asked, to which Page replied: “You know, it’s funny you say that because I don’t go online.”
henry Double it by pointing it out Fans “need” the page back. “I have to take your word for it,” he replied.
After Henry asked the audience one last time if they would “see” him again, Page thanked the reporter for the interview and quickly moved on to the next reporter on the red carpet. The awkward red carpet moment came after “Bridgerton” producer Jesse Brownell expressed concerns about Simon potentially returning – and having a different actor play the character.
“We’re not interested in recasting the character,” Brownell told Variety in February. “I think it does a disservice to everything Regé and Phoebe (Dynevor) set up in season one and all the wonderful work they put into these characters.”
Brownell Do not rule out the possibility of a return on screen for them.
“We hope to bring them back at some point, but I think, logistically, we want to make sure that when we have something real for them, we’re bringing them back,” she continued. “For them to come back and say a line at the funeral (in Season 4) and prove that they were there, it didn’t feel right for a lot of reasons.”
She concluded: “So I think, in my opinion, the cameras don’t capture everything. Assuming they’re there (for this season) — that’s television. But we’d love to find a time at some point in the future to bring everyone back.”
