Tatiana Elizabeth slams Lauren Black’s face swap apology


Tatiana Elizabeth Not impressed by influencers Lauren BlackShe apologized after artificial intelligence superimposed her face onto a photo the model had previously shared.

“I don’t think it comes from a sincere place,” Elizabeth told TMZ Sports Thursday, April 2nd. “I think she just wanted it to go away and get back to her scheduled show. I don’t think she was being honest. I don’t think her apology was sincere. I think she just said what she felt she needed to say in order to move on from this.”

Earlier this week, Elizabeth, a black woman, accused Black, who is white, of claiming her image as his own.

“Bar to bar. The weirdest thing is, it’s not even an AI influencer. It’s a real person using AI to put her head on my body,” Elizabeth via Number of threads Monday, March 30th. “She geotagged Miami as if she was at the Miami Open. My photo was taken at the U.S. Open two years ago.”

Elizabeth included images of her and Blake for side-by-side comparison. The background matched the outfits, with both women wearing white tennis skirts and cropped T-shirts, with green and white striped long-sleeved shirts tied around their necks. The two also carried a green Louis Vuitton wallet on the same shoulder. Blake’s image is enlarged compared to Elizabeth’s photo.

After calling out the influencer, Blake deleted the photo and apologized.

“I would like to comment on a recent post made by a third-party AI content agency I have been working with. It came to my attention that the images posted used the work and likeness of Black creators in a manner that is completely inconsistent with my values,” Black wrote in a statement shared via the site. Instagram Wednesday, April 1st. “I take full responsibility for the content that appears on my platform.”

Blake added that she apologized to Elizabeth “privately” and vowed to have more “policing” over the content she posted.
