Voice AI company Speechify has just launched Windows app which uses locally stored colors to ensure reading across all applications, and reads aloud text, documents, or PDFs using a text library.

The company is taking the likes of Wisper Flow, Willow, and Superwhisper who also provide software for writing and editing platforms.

Speechify said the Windows software performs speech processing on all devices on Copilot+ PCs (which have NPUs from AMD, Intel, and Qualcomm) and other Windows 11 PCs with GPUs from Intel and AMD.

The app has three modes of use on the device: neural text-to-speech, real-time event recognition, and Whisper-powered text. Users can modify the software to convert it to cloud models or even change it during use.

The company, which has ended 50 million usersreported that VITS Neural can generate audio at seven different speed settings, allowing users to read aloud documents or web pages. The company uses it Silero open source model to recognize speech events.

“More than a billion people in the world use Windows. With this launch of Windows, we are making sure that reading, and now writing, will not be a barrier, regardless of the device you use or how you like to work. We are very happy with the opportunity for the company due to the number of professionals who have requested Speechify for their computers,” said Cliff Weitzman, founder and CEO of Speechify.

Last month, the company was launched Conference notes like granolabut that feature was limited to browser-based sessions. Now that the company has apps for all platforms, it will bring this to the community to record meetings on any app or browser.
