Jill, 37, and Dillard had previously planned to take their children to Orange Beach, Alabama Joseph was arrested on March 18 Arkansas charged with lewd and lascivious conduct stemming from 2020 child molestation charges. The victim, who was 9 at the time and is now 14, told police that Joseph “eventually apologized for his actions” before “the incident stopped.”
Joseph has not entered a plea and is awaiting extradition to Florida, where the alleged attack occurred.
Multiple members of the Duggar family have reacted to the arrest of Joseph Duggar on child molestation charges. Joseph, who became famous with his family on the reality show 19 Kids and Counting, was taken into custody after being accused of molesting a 9-year-old girl during a family vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida.

“Thank you for your love and prayers during this heartbreaking and ongoing difficult time to deal with,” Jill added in Saturday’s post, going on to quote a Bible verse from Lamentations. “‘The Lord is my inheritance,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I will hope in Him.'”
Jill initially broke her silence Joseph was arrested on March 19.
“We were shocked last night to learn of the arrest of Gill’s brother (Joseph Duggar),” Gill and Dillard wrote in a joint statement. “We first learned anything related to the charges against him yesterday through a text message from a friend who sent us regarding recent media coverage of Joseph’s arrest and his alleged molestation of a teenage female in 2020. We are shocked and heartbroken.”
They continued: “We strongly condemn the abuse. We support the rule of law and hope justice will be served. Our hearts go out to the innocent teenage victim of this unspeakable crime and her family. We pray that God will give her strength, comfort and hope, and that she will receive all the help and support she needs and deserves in the days ahead.”
Gill and Dillard further suggested Kendra and her children case support.
“We love our sister-in-law Kendra and our four nieces and nephews and pray that they feel loved and supported during this time,” Jill concluded in her statement. “We cannot imagine the indescribable pain they are feeling as they process and grieve everything.”
