Jill Dugger finds out Joseph needs family trip during arrest

“We were shocked last night to learn of the arrest of Gill’s brother (Joseph Duggar),” Gill and Dillard wrote in a joint statement. “We first learned anything related to the charges against him yesterday through a text message from a friend who sent us regarding recent media coverage of Joseph’s arrest and his alleged molestation of a teenage female in 2020. We are shocked and heartbroken.”

They continued: “We strongly condemn the abuse. We support the rule of law and hope justice will be served. Our hearts go out to the innocent teenage victim of this unspeakable crime and her family. We pray that God will give her strength, comfort and hope, and that she will receive all the help and support she needs and deserves in the days ahead.”

Gill and Dillard further suggested Kendra and her children case support.

“We love our sister-in-law Kendra and our four nieces and nephews and pray that they feel loved and supported during this time,” Jill concluded in her statement. “We cannot imagine the indescribable pain they are feeling as they process and grieve everything.”
