“When they opened the house, they said, ‘This house is the most toxic environment. You can’t live here for at least two years.’ I’m not exaggerating,” Handler claimed. “It was a disaster and I didn’t know what was going to happen because everything was so hush-hush.”
Handler further joked that three separate contractors told her “the house was cursed.”
“On the last week of inspections, they came in. Everything was redone, redone, redone,” she recalled. “They’ll say, ‘Oh, there’s been a small outdoor storage room there since I bought the property, and they’ll say, ‘That’s illegal.'” … I’m like, ‘How come they didn’t find this on the first inspection? ‘”
