“It’s hard. Really hard. I’m heartbroken,” the 56-year-old rapper Tell Q in cover story interview published on Tuesday, March 24, when asked to “rate” his 2025. “I’m glad we’re doing this right so we can fix this. Jay-Z claimed that “in the past,” charges would not have been filed without evidence.
“You have to be really sure before you put these things on a guy. Especially a guy like me,” he said. “Even when we’re doing the worst things, we have this rule. There’s a line: no women, no children. You hear those things, but those are things I take off the street. We live and die. So that’s strict to me, like it means a lot to me.”
The “99 Questions” artist reiterated that he takes the accusations “very seriously,” adding, “I know we’re going to address this because, first of all, it’s not true. And the truth, at the end of the day, still reigns supreme.”
In December 2024, a civil lawsuit was filed against Jay-Z and Diddy, 56, accusing two men of drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl at the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. Jay-Z denied the accusations in a statement at the time, calling them “outrageous” and wondering why the alleged victim had not filed a criminal complaint instead of a civil suit.
“Anyone who commits such a crime against a minor should be locked up, wouldn’t you agree? If that’s the case, these so-called victims will get real justice,” he said. “My only heartbreak is for my family. My wife and I will have to sit down our children, one of whom is of an age where her friends will surely see the media and ask questions about the nature of these claims and explain how cruel and greedy people are. I mourn yet another loss of innocence.”
Jay-Z has filed a new motion to dismiss a lawsuit accusing him of raping a 13-year-old girl more than 20 years ago, asking for sanctions against the plaintiff’s attorneys. Didi has also denied the accusations through his legal team.
“As his legal team has stated previously, Mr. Combs has full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process,” his attorney said. “In court, the truth will prevail: Mr. Coombs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor.”

One of her lawyers, Tony Buzbeecalled the lawsuit “without merit” and claimed the plaintiffs stood by their side of the story.
Five months later, a judge dismissed the defamation lawsuit against Buzbee and his accusers.
