Apple Music works with Ticketmaster to ensure their content is secure

Apple Music announced on Tuesday that it is partnering with Ticketmaster to launch its Concert Discovery feature. This integration aims to improve the way users experience live music based on what they listen to.

Ticketmaster is the first ticketing service to integrate with Apple Music, allowing listeners to find nearby concerts and events based on their music preferences. Every event on the music streaming app now includes a direct link to Ticketmaster for easy ticketing.

With the new integration, Apple Music users can search for tickets through the app’s various features, including a home page guide that shows nearby concerts relevant to their listening needs, a dedicated Concerts tab for event browsing, and Artist Pages that display concert listings along with a badge showing when the artist is on tour.

Additionally, push notifications alert fans when their favorite artists are playing nearby.

Ticketmaster already has the power to list some events across the Apple ecosystemincluding Maps, Spotlight Search, Photos, and Shazam, so this is an extension of the partnership.

For example, when users identify music using Shazam, they can also find and purchase tickets for upcoming concerts. Professional search for iOS devices shows Ticketmaster events in the search results. Users can view upcoming events at any Ticketmaster ticketing location through Apple Maps.

In addition, with the implementation of iOS 16, Apple Photos gives fans a way to relive past concerts through their photos and videos, connecting them directly to the artists’ upcoming events.
