Joseph Dugger He was reportedly housed in a secure area of the Washington County Jail in Arkansas while awaiting extradition to Florida.
TMZ reports In the early hours of Friday, March 20, Joseph, 31, had “no access” to other prisoners. The outlet quoted a prison supervisor, a corporal, as saying that staff were keeping “constant surveillance” on Joseph because of his status as a reality TV star.
Officers carrying body cameras were reportedly positioned near Joseph’s cell, the report added, noting 19 Kids and Counting Alum checks every hour.
The Bay County Sheriff’s Office in Florida announced on Wednesday, March 18, that Joseph was in police custody after being accused of molesting a 9-year-old girl in 2020. Tontitown Arkansas Police Department Joseph was arrested around 3 p.m. local time after Bay County authorities obtained a warrant for his arrest.
The alleged incident occurred six years ago in Panama City Beach where Joseph and his family were vacationing.
“The victim reported that Dugger asked her to sit on his lap multiple times,” the Bay County Sheriff’s Office statement read. “As the vacation continued, he also made her sit on the couch next to him and covered them with a blanket.”

“During this time, Duggar manipulated the victim’s underwear and abrased her genitals. Duggar also continued to rub her thighs with his hands,” the statement added.
Joseph and his wife, Kendra Duggarhas yet to comment publicly on his arrest.

Our hearts go out to the innocent teenage victim of this unspeakable crime and her family. We pray that God will give her strength, comfort and hope, and that she will receive all the help and support she needs and deserves in the days ahead.”
