Consumer-oriented security tools often focus on one type, such as privacy protection, VPNs, or data management. This forces people to use multiple tools to keep their data private. CoveredThe company, which primarily provides security and privacy solutions, announced Thursday that it has raised $375 million in Series B funding and growth funding to expand its consumer offerings and enter the enterprise market.
The company was founded by brothers Arjun and Abhijay Bhatnagar in 2020, and initially provided users. the ability to create multiple credentials and data such as email addresses, phone numbers, and passwords log into different services without providing their real data. Over the years, Cloaked has released other services such as data extraction, theft insurance, VPN, and dark web monitoring. Last year, that introduced AI-driven mobile testing.
Now, Cloaked sees an opportunity to protect consumers in a world where hackers or hackers can use AI to access data or money in new ways.

“We’ve seen AI getting better than humans at putting people at risk. And we’re seeing that as a personal safety issue, family safety, financial fraud. We’re also seeing (AI getting better) in cybercriminals,” Bhatnagar said.
The startup plans to expand its AI-powered monitoring security to messaging, email, and browsing this year. It’s also testing an AI assistant that can take action on your behalf, such as changing the password for an application whose data has been compromised. Bhatnagar said the plan is to use AI in a secure way and not provide information to the cloud.
The company told TechCrunch that it grew 10x last year and now has over 350,000 paying customers. It has also protected 10 million pieces of information and helped users clean up more than 1 billion records from data vendor websites. Bhatnagar said that since its launch last year for mobile monitoring, the program has processed more than 50 million fraudulent or spam calls.
Cloaked is also starting to enter the business, offering employees the same security as what they buy, including identity and passwords. This provides employees with information about potential fraud. In addition, corporate CISOs can monitor public risk and assess how many records have been cleaned or fraud has been stopped. And they can spot fraud or data out there that could affect the company’s business.

The startup has about 70 employees and plans to grow the team in various areas such as marketing, engineering, business sales, and international expansion.
Wearer competes with the likes of 1Password, GaurdioFirefox, Proton, and Mozilla. The company has some features that overlap with one of its investors, DuckDuckGo, which it offers VPN is anti-theft protection.
The latest round was led by General Catalyst and Liberty City Ventures, with participation from Lux Capital, Human Capital, Marquee Ventures, Fifth Growth Fund, NFL Players Association, LG Technology Ventures, Assurant Ventures, and DuckDuckGo. General Catalyst also provided a larger investment through its Customer Value Fund, which lends startup capital without diluting customer value. The startup did not disclose the valuation or split between equity and growth funds.
Before that, Cloaked had woken up $29 million from investorsincluding Lux Capital, Human Capital, and General Catalyst.
Mark Crane, a partner at General Catalyst, said the business had invested in the start-up of all tours but took the first lead. He added that Cloaked’s security and privacy protection team is compatible with many consumers.
Crane believes that Cloaked has the right product to protect people and businesses in the new AI-driven Internet and be a “good housekeeping seal” for users in a world where there are many AI agents.
“In terms of what they’re going to sell, they’re going to create a lot of space for consumers and what they want to use privately,” he told TechCrunch in a phone call. “Some people want to use everything in the box, and some people want to use smaller pieces. And the beauty of Cloaked is that any consumer, whatever they care about, can approach it, and can find the answer they want and need.”
