DR Congo and Rwanda agree to ease tensions after US talks


Days after the signing ceremony, the M23 movement entered the Congolese city of Uvira near the border with Burundi, in the worst escalation of the conflict in months. It later withdrew under U.S. pressure, although it still controls much of eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, including the region’s two largest cities, Goma and Bukavu.
