Russia attacks Ukraine oil spill disrupts Moldova water supply

Moldova has a population of 2.4 million, but Russia still maintains military bases in the breakaway Russian-speaking region of Transnistria, which lies along much of Moldova’s eastern border with Ukraine. Local television reported that oil had been discovered in Transnistria, but local officials did not expect to impose restrictions on drinking water.
