Google Personal Intelligence feature is expanding to all US users

Google announced on Tuesday that it is expanding Personal Intelligence, a feature that allows its AI assistant to adapt its solutions by interacting with your Google ecosystem, such as Gmail and Google Photos, to all users in the US Previously available to paid users, Personal Intelligence is now available AI mode in Search, and The Gemini programand Gemini in Chrome.

“Whether you’re looking for a pair of shoes you bought in the past, or planning a getaway based on your hotel reservations and past memories, Personal Intelligence helps you find what you’re looking for without giving away everything that’s happening,” Google explained in a post.

Personal Intelligence is disabled, as users have the option to choose whether they want to connect their Google apps with these services.

If you’re at the tire shop and can’t remember the size of your car’s tires, any AI chat can help you figure it out. But with Personal Intelligence, Gemini can go even further and suggest all-season tires after recognizing family travel photos in your Google Photos.

Or, let’s say you’re planning a vacation and looking for things to do and restaurants that everyone in your family can enjoy. With Personal Intelligence, AI Mode can capture your hotel reservations in Gmail and memories of previous trips in Google Photos to create a personalized travel experience. For example, you can see ideas like old ice cream parlors based on many ice cream selfies stored in Google Photos.

In another example, you may be looking for a new bag to match the new shoes you just bought. With Personal Intelligence in Chrome, you’ll see a variety of options based on your recent purchases and your favorite brands and styles. The ideas will also include details, such as handbags that go with your new gold shoes.

Gemini doesn’t directly sync your Gmail inbox or Google Photos library. Instead, it trains on what’s going on in Gemini or AI Mode with that kind of feedback, Google says.

Personal Intelligence is available today in the US on AI Mode in Search, and is starting to roll out the Gemini app and Gemini in Chrome for free users in the US.

Google says this feature is available only for your Google Accounts, not for Workspace commercial, business, or educational users.
