Hilary Duff talking behind her agent cody banks supporting role Frankie Muniz Recently described her mother, Susan Colleen Dufffor “super strong”.
“I’ve never been pushed to act, I’ve never been pushed to sing,” Hilary, 38, told us “Mythical Kitchen” In an interview published on Friday, March 13. “My mom knows my sister (haley duff) and I love performing… I understand giving your kids the energy to be interested in… When I did it, no one was performing where I came from, so everyone thought it was like, ‘She has a stage mom. ‘”
While Hilary didn’t directly respond to Muniz’s specific complaints about her mother, she credits Susan with reinstating her as a child star.
“It’s great to have my mom in the corner…for better and for worse,” she added. “I think obviously mistakes were made and there was a learning process, but it’s hard to be like a family versus a machine.”
Hillary continued, “I’m so grateful for (my mom).”
Hillary and Muniz dated as teenagers, but they reportedly split in 2003 after filming the action comedy agent cody banks. Muniz, 40, revealed on “The Joe Vulpis Podcast” last September, He hasn’t spoken to Hillary In 22 years.
“There’s another story that I haven’t told, and I don’t know if I want to tell it, but maybe I will. It’s been a long time,” he recalled. “I’m on set Lizzie McGuireI was in Hillary’s dressing room, and her mom was there. He describes Hilary as one of his “first friends” after moving to Los Angeles as a child actor. According to Muniz, when he guest-starred as Hillary’s mom, Susan, on a 2002 episode of the Disney series, he had an awkward conversation with her Lizzie McGuire.
“Her mom said, ‘You know what you were doing this summer? What were you doing this summer?'” he recalled. “I said, ‘Oh, I’m doing this movie and I play a young James Bond. It’s called ‘ agent cody banks.'”

Even though they’ve been estranged for 22 years, Muniz said he “would love to catch up” with Clinton and would even bring up the awkward end to their friendship.
Meanwhile, Hillary recently opened up about her relationship with sister Hailey after she wrote their alienation on her new album Luck…or whatever.
“The loneliest part of my life is definitely not having my sister in my life at this moment,” Hilary told cbs morning show February. “That’s my truth and a lot of people have this experience as well. It’s hard because that’s who I am and people know everything about my life since I was a kid. I didn’t necessarily choose that part, but it’s my reality. It’s very healing, honestly.”
