Apple has acquired MotionVFX, a company that creates plugins, templates, and advanced features for Apple’s Final Cut Pro video editing software. The amount of the deal is unknown.

MotionVFX, a Warsaw-based company founded in 2009, offers subscription packages starting at $29 per month to access its video editing tools, images, and templates. Apple’s acquisition of the company should see MotionVFX tools integrated into the technology services.
Additionally, this move could help Apple better compete with Adobe Premiere Pro, and the entire Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
In January, Apple was launched Designer Studioa subscription bundle that provides access to six productivity apps and the core iWork apps. The bundle costs $12.99 per month or $129 per year and includes access to Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro on Mac and iPad, as well as Motion, Compressor, and MainStage on Mac. It also includes keynote content, Pages, and Numbers.
With MotionVFX, Apple wants to attract more subscribers to its Production Studio suite.
