Nvidia’s DLSS 5 uses advanced AI to improve graphics in video games, with ambitions beyond gaming

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang used the company’s keynote speech Nvidia GTC Monday introduced DLSS 5, a new type of AI technology designed to make video games more realistic while using less power.

The new DLSS 5 system combines traditional 3D information with basic AI models that can predict and fill in parts of the image, allowing Nvidia GPUs to create detailed images and lifelike characters without rendering anything from scratch.

“We combined 3D visuals, real-world images, which were created…”One of them is completely predictable, the other is possible but very realistic.”

Huang said the combination of these two concepts – data processing and AI output – allows designers to create products that are “beautiful, amazing, and controllable.”

“The concept of integrating artificial intelligence and artificial intelligence will resonate in many industries,” Huang said. “Structured data is the foundation of reliable AI.”

Games make up a smaller portion of Nvidia’s revenue today than they did in the past, even though they are the companies that made Nvidia what it is today. Huang proposed the DLSS 5 system as an example of the evolution of computing, showing that the system can extend beyond gaming and even business computing.

“In the future, what will happen is the use of AI, and AI will be faster than us,” Huang said. “Organizations of the future will use warehouses and unorganized, warehouses.
