There are new key terms to identify as part of this creative innovation, according to Antonio Gracias, founder of Valor Equity Partners.
Talking about this year Summit in Los Angeleshe spoke of a term he coined – proentropic – to describe a principle that was designed to thrive in chaos and disorder. These challenges include climate change and political and technological change.
The term comes from physics, where entropy is a measure of the amount of disorder or uncertainty in a system. The second law of thermodynamics is that disorder in a system will increase over time, and it cannot be stopped; it is natural for order, like real life, to always move towards a state of chaos.
Gracias admitted that the term can be difficult to understand and began thinking about it in 2013, when he thought that global integration and technological change around the world would “change all power.”
He said the world has been experiencing chaos since the end of the last century when “people (have) grown and technologies have changed.”
“We’re looking for businesses that are good at predicting the future and knowing where it’s going to go,” he said, citing his company SpaceX as an example.
“It’s not that they are in the market today (who) think they work, but (they) have burned their way with their people a way of thinking about the world that is possible” – meaning that everything can change at any time.

“It also considers what can happen at the bottom end and benefits from it,” he added.
Elsewhere in the interview, he talked about the company’s approach and also explained about the world. “We’re moving into an economic age where if you really want to make a better world, you have to be morally courageous.”
He talked about the intersection of climate, energy, and hardware, using Tesla as an example. “You can make great things without a lot of computing power if you know how to integrate software and hardware,” Gracias said of what he thinks the future of this moment will be.
“The common narrative is that artificial intelligence is going to be very bad. And I think that’s not true. I’m going to work very hard in the next five to ten years to make sure that’s not true. Instead, they think the gaps are bigger than ever.
For example, he thinks that if low-code / no-code tools are effective, more people will be able to start companies and thus release invisible productivity. “Who knows what they will build,” he continued.
“We will decide whether we have a good future or a dystopian future.”
