“When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer, I remembered how brave she was to let the world be a part of her journey and (me) reach out to her,” Moon wrote on her Instagram Story at the time. “We became friends right away — which I honestly can’t understand sometimes because when I was 10 years old, watching her perform on (Beverly Hills) 90210 was everything to me.”
Moon praised Doherty for her support and her efforts to help other women fighting cancer.
“We are united by our shared fight and desire to help other women,” Moon continued. “Thinking back to the last text she sent me a few months ago, she asked me how I was doing and if there was anything she could do for me.”
Munn added: “As always, Shannen was as supportive as ever even though she was in the final stages of her battle with this terrible disease. Cancer is really scary, and Shannen faced it with such dignity, strength and grace.”
