Jenna Bush Hager jokes she regrets not having Secret Service connection


Jenna Bush Hager Joking, she regretted not being associated with Secret Service agents while living in the White House.

Wednesday, March 11, program The Kelly Clarkson Showthis Today with Jenna and Shinelle The co-host shared details about her next venture, creating a TV series inspired in part by her time in the White House.

“We have a show called Protecthope you can see it on NBC,” Bush Hager, 44, Tell host Kelly Clarkson. “It’s based on the protective unit, but some of my experiences with the Secret Service, and now that I’m older, they realize they sacrificed a lot to hang out with me and my family. I think it’s a tribute to them, but it’s a mystery, and it’s fun.”

She then quipped, “I’ve never been in a relationship with one of my Secret Service agents!” alluding to a storyline in the series.

“I should do that!” Bush Hager joked, and Clarkson said it could be the premise for her next book.

Bush-Hager jokingly mused that the title of her book might be “I Never Hooked Up with My Secret Service Agent and Other Regrets,” then added, “Just kidding!”

Bush Hager is the daughter of Bush Hager George W. Bushthe 43rd President of the United States, and Laura Bush. She and her fraternal twin sister Barbara Pierce Bush They lived in the White House from 2001 to 2009 while their father was president.

The talk show host has previously revealed her time in the white houseclaiming that the presidential mansion is haunted.

“The White House is haunted. My sister and I heard a ghost playing classical piano, but she seemed friendly,” she exclusively told US Weekly November 2022.

Bush Hager elaborated further in a March 2025 interview people“, said, “For the first time, Barbara didn’t believe me. I was sleeping in my room – this was in college – and I woke up and heard opera coming from the fireplace. I can feel it! To be honest, I got chills.

“I said, ‘Barbara, Barbara!’ I woke her up,” she continued. “‘I heard noises. I thought there was a ghost.’ I was in bed with her, and we went back to sleep. Two days later, she was sleeping in my bed, and she said, ‘There’s no ghost.'”

Barbara added, “Two days later, I was sleeping in her room. We were dozing, and then we heard old jazz music coming from the fireplace. We were scared. We wanted to go to bed with our parents, but we were 22 and it didn’t feel right. Then we calmed down and we thought, ‘Well, that must be the cat. Willard (the cat) was playing old jazz music on the piano.'”
