In August 2021, Ashley opened up about her relationship with David as they celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary.

“I always used to say to Dave, ‘I love everything about you.'” The last time I said it out of habit, I laughed and took it back. ‘Actually no, I don’t know. But I’m madly in love with you! We all laughed,” she said via Instagram then. “Honestly, it’s refreshing to realize that. No one is perfect. No marriage is perfect. And no two people love everything about each other.”

Ashley admitted that she and David both have quirks that they don’t like about each other, but stressed that they try to “focus on the good.”

“Marriage definitely has its ups and downs. We’ve all been there. But I’ve realized that if you focus on the lows, you tend to get more lows. You focus on the good times, you tend to get more good times,” she continued. “When you focus so much on those good times, when adversity inevitably comes your way, it’s easier to get through it.”
