Cocoa growers in Ghana and Ivory Coast face tough times as chocolate market slumps

The health of the industry therefore directly affects the country’s wealth, and to help revitalize the industry, the government has announced a series of measures, including plans to process more of the crop within Ghana itself, rather than processing green beans into chocolate and other products abroad.
