Morgan Evans appears on Bobby Bones’ podcast
In March 2026, Morgan Evans was a guest on Bobby Bones’ “The Bobbycast,” where he detailed Kelsea Ballerini’s state of mind after filing for divorce.
“I definitely didn’t (expect it), it surprised me,” Evans said. “But yeah, the whole time was such a blur. From where I sit now, it almost feels like a different person. I just look back and I’m like, ‘Oh, my God.'” … Yeah, it was just a whirlwind, life-changing moment. “
Evans also addressed the widespread speculation at the time about why his marriage ended, which Ballerini used as fodder for her Roll up the welcome mat EP.

Chase Stokes took to social media to respond to Morgan Evans’ interview with Bobby Bones, slamming the country singer’s thoughts on divorcing Kelsey Ballerini.
“This is the most pathetic excuse for masculinity (I) have ever seen,” Stokes wrote in an Instagram comment under a clip of the interview. “Get a damn life.”
Stokes eventually deleted his comments without further addressing the news.

“If you’re going to be that harsh, then maybe don’t take it off. Also, this guy has nothing to say,” Bones said in a video shared via Instagram in March 2026. “I’m sure he’s probably a good guy. Mostly, in my mind, I just wonder why some people can talk about things and others can’t.”

Morgan Evans and Kelsea Ballerini were married from 2017 to 2022.
