Bill Clinton testified to the House Oversight Committee on Friday about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, a day after his wife, Hillary Clinton, was also removed from the committee. The former US president denied any knowledge of Epstein’s crimes in his testimony.

He was asked about a photo in Epstein’s dossier that showed him in a hot tub with an unidentified person, who appeared to be a woman. A source told the BBC that Clinton told lawmakers he had no idea who she was.

Republicans said transcripts of both depositions will be released to the public. Democrats on the committee said the testimony set a new precedent and that President Donald Trump should also testify.
