“I couldn’t even speak,” Montag, 39, told EXCLUSIVELY us weekly before she was eliminated from the episode on Wednesday, February 25. “My vocal cords bled during the show because the helmet was so heavy and stiff and I strained my neck trying to lift my head up. When hot girls night comes, this hills alum “It’s been whispering at home for two weeks straight.”
“I couldn’t even talk to my kids at home. It was really intense off camera and I was trying to save my voice,” she recalled. “So, I was in tears before and after because I had wanted this for so long, and then to have to leave because of a vocal injury was devastating to me. I just felt like this opportunity that I had been waiting for so long was being taken away from me…and I know that it was magnified because of everything I’d been through.”
As Snowcone, Montag is open to everything about her and her husband, Spencer Plattexperienced since losing home The Pacific Palisades Fire last January. In Wednesday’s clue package, she said she realized “nothing good or bad is forever,” but their love will be their “legacy.”
While Pratt, 42, didn’t sing on the show, he did support his wife as Mr. Snowcone, who silently appeared on stage with her clue package. They even reconnected with producers who worked with them on The Hills’ original run, which made the experience “very fun” for the couple.

This is the first really positive show we’ve done together, and it’s been a really big blessing for us considering everything we’ve just been through.”
It’s also a blessing for their sons, Gunner, 8, and Ryker, 3, who are huge fans of the show.
“Every time I go to L.A. now, they ask, ‘Are you going to be a Snow Cone? Are you going to work at a Snow Cone?'” Montag said with a laugh. “It’s the best thing I’ve ever done. The kids have never been so excited about anything. It’s taken on a life of its own in our house. They love Mr. Snowcone. They’re fascinated. I say, ‘Hello, Mrs. Snowcone is singing! Mr. Snowcone is standing right there.'” But they love the whole dynamic. “
Although Montag wishes she could stay The Masked Singer Moments later, she was super excited about attending hot girls night (as any millennial woman would be).
“It was my first concert. I was 12 years old,” she recalls. “spice world That’s everything. I think I’ve seen that movie a million times on (VHS)…so I don’t think the Spice Girls have any more fans. We’re like, ‘Great, that’s a good outline, but let’s not commit to that because we don’t know what the future is and where we’ll be.’ There’s definitely a lot of moving parts and we’re going to continue to take it day by day.”
