Pregnant Nicole Bryden Bloom talks parenthood with Justin Theroux

The couple met at a bar in New York City in 2022 after being introduced by a mutual friend.

“After the party, a bunch of us went to have a drink nearby,” Bloom told Fashion March 2025. “It was an unusually cold night in New York City — about six degrees — and Justin very kindly offered me his glove, which I gratefully accepted and returned as soon as we got back inside.”

That night, the ring Bloom was wearing slipped into Theroux’s glove. He sent her a photo holding a “small diamond ring in the shape of a cross.” Bloom thought it had been lost.

“The next morning, Justin reached into his glove and the ring slipped halfway onto his finger,” she added. “He likes to joke that I proposed first, on the first night we met!”

Theroux was convinced that Bloom left the ring in the glove on purpose.

“Now, knowing Nicole as well as I do, this is definitely not the case. She left behind more jewelry, jackets and bags than I can count. So, absolutely no action will be taken,” he added. Theroux knew Bloom was “the one” the night they met – he even told a friend as much.

“I had no way of knowing how prescient his comments would turn out to be,” he added. “Then I begged him to go over and collect her name, but like an idiot I didn’t get it.”

Theroux proposed to Bloom in August 2024 during a trip to Italy.

“We were looking at the water and the moon when he proposed. He said some of the most beautiful things,” she recalled. “It was amazing – we all cried.”

They chose Mexico as their backdrop Their wedding in March 2025 As a way to pay homage to the place where they first fell in love.

“We wanted a destination that felt private, romantic and very relaxing,” she told Fashion their wedding weekend. “The best part? We had the full moon all weekend long. On Thursday, it rose over the beach behind us, and it felt so complete from the proposal to now.”

Theroux also reflected on the ceremony.

“I just want to say, this is awesome,” the actor recalled. “A ceremony with vows is about the words contained in it. It’s best not to describe them here. That being said, the officiant said some wonderful things, and my wife was just…well, incredibly moved. I was very moved.”
