The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Star Demi Engerman Requested Marciano BrunetteThe defamation suit against her was dismissed.
According to court documents obtained US Weekly On Tuesday, February 17, Engeman, 31, asked a judge to dismiss Marciano’s lawsuit, claiming that Brunette, 33, was punishing her “for exercising her First Amendment rights to speak out about (Brunette’s) inappropriate conduct.”
Calling the lawsuit a “scam,” Engerman claimed Brunette had previously boasted that his workplace had a “special policy prohibiting him from sleeping with other employees” because he allegedly “slept with an ‘unusual’ number of employees.”
Engerman also asked Brunette to pay her attorney’s fees and costs.

Engemann and Brunette were first connected in 2024, when mormon wife Cast members head to Italy for season 2 Villa Vanderpump. Brunette claims he kissed married Demi Brett Engerman. Demi, for her part, accused the brunette of crossing a line in May 2025.
“I did make a very bold and true statement about Marciano[recently]because it was like, ‘You lied about me. The brunette claims Demi’s accusations have caused “serious” damage to his reputation.
“They accused Marciano of committing criminal sexual acts that he did not commit. The content was widely published, repeatedly reprinted, and designed to reinforce ‘truths’ in the minds of viewers,” the filing reads. “The damage was immediate and severe, including lost career opportunities, harassment by strangers, and lasting damage to Marciano’s reputation.”
