The CAF Disciplinary Committee decided to punish the Moroccan team for playing two games without spectators in its upcoming continental tournaments, in addition to a monetary fine of 100,000 US dollars.
The fines were divided between $20,000 for using laser devices, $15,000 for throwing water bottles, $15,000 for fans who bring several balls onto the field during the game in violation of the rules of the game and the integrity of the competition, and $50,000 for throwing a dangerous metal object that the committee considers to be for the safety of the players.
The committee also concluded that the Royal Army Club had breached Articles 82 and 83 of the CAF Disciplinary Code, including Article 32 of the Security and Safety Regulations, due to the inappropriate behavior of some of its fans.
CAF forced the Moroccan club to pay the full fine within no more than 60 days from the date of notification of the decision.
