high potential Make fans excited The future of performance during Karadek Seems jealous of Morgan spending time with their boss Wagner (Steve Howie) in season two.
“As the season goes on, we really start to unpack some of that. For us, our approach is, you don’t know if it’s protectiveness or jealousy,” executive producer and showrunner Todd Hasson exclusively told Us Weekly . “Is he concerned that Morgan is getting into a relationship that could be dangerous or complicated and destructive? Or is there a part of him that’s starting to develop real feelings for her?”
Hasson continued: “That’s the line we’re taking on the show. I don’t want to tell the audience explicitly how he feels, but it’s something we’ll be thinking about a lot as we dig deeper into the season. Because things are going to start to get a little confusing.”
When asked if Karadek knew how he felt about Morgan, Hasson noted, “They’re both still figuring it out. Even in the TV era, the relationship between the two of them wasn’t that long. It’s complicated when you work together and it’s such an amazing partnership that you have that just keeps growing and blooming and you become more attached.”
Hazen didn’t rule anything out. “He’s still in the coordination phase. But that’s where we are now,” he added. “He’s still not sure, and we try to be honest about that in the execution of the episode.”
The writers also teased multiple possible love interests for Morgan.
“We haven’t come up with a really good point about it yet. But I’ve talked to Caitlin about it a lot, and she has a lot of other things that are more important than her being in another meaningful relationship. Her priority is her kids, and then now she has a career that she’s fully committed to,” he explained. “That leaves a very small part for her and her personal life. It’s not one of the things she’s involved in, it’s her children and her work. But we’re looking for a time when that all comes to fruition, and we’re slow in getting her immersed in a long-term relationship.”
