The four astronauts on SpaceX Crew-12 have begun their journey to the International Space Station (ISS).
NASA’s Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, the European Space Agency’s Sophie Adenot and Roscosmos’ Andrey Fedyaev all flew 34 hours aboard a Falcon 9 rocket to reach their destination.
The crew will stay on the International Space Station for eight months to replace The station was evacuated last month due to a medical emergency.
“Crew-12 is extremely grateful and ready for the journey ahead,” mission commander Jessica Meier said after the launch.
