IBM will hire your talent to enter the age of AI

While AI companies agree that AI will replace basic jobs, not all companies are taking back their jobs. In the case of IBM, everything fits.

Hardware giant IBM is planning to triple its US debt in 2026, according to report from Bloomberg. Nickle LaMoreaux, IBM’s chief human resource officer, announced the launch of Charter’s Leading with AI Summit on Tuesday.

“And yes, it’s about all these jobs that we’re told AI can do,” LaMoreaux said.

These services will look different from the services that IBM previously offered, he explained. According to LaMoreaux, they went through and changed the job descriptions of these startups to focus not only on areas where AI can create — like copywriting — but also on more advanced areas like customer interaction.

This method is understandable. While businesses like IBM don’t need the same talent they once did, promoting younger employees helps ensure that these employees have the skills needed for higher-level positions.

IBM did not say how many people it would hire for the job. TechCrunch reached out to IBM for more information on the writing service.

This year could be very important in terms of how AI will appear in the mortgage market. An MIT study in 2025 says 11.7% of jobs could already be done by AI. A TechCrunch research found that several investors think that 2026 will begin to show how AI will affect the job market – although they were not asked about jobs.
