“I don’t necessarily know how they’re going to spin it or write it, or what they’re going to keep and change,” Quinn exclusively told US Weekly while teasing the upcoming season of Eloise.
Quinn also commented on Hyacinth and Gregory’s respective seasons.
“It’s funny because they were about 12 and 13 when they started. If you’d asked me that question at the time (about the same actors playing adults), I would have said, ‘I don’t know.’ But when I saw them again at the premiere, they were both drinking,” she told us. “They are both 18 now and Will is with his girlfriend.”
The author notes that we’re still a few years away from “Kiss” and “On the Road to the Wedding” getting their own seasonal features.
“(Showrunner) Jesse (Brownell) said the next two seasons would be either Eloise and then Francesca or Francesca and then Eloise, which makes sense. Filming takes a few years, so by the time we see Hyacinth and Gregory, the actors are all in their 20s,” Quinn explained. “So I think that’s probably OK. Is it weird that we know them when they’re 12 years old? We see child actors growing up all the time.”
She continued: “As a writer, writing these two books was difficult at first. I really had to let them grow in my mind a little bit, which was hard on both of them. I’m really glad it took a few years — but even then — I don’t remember how long it took to write. I really had to let them grow. It was tough.”
