Facebook he announced new AI-powered Tuesdays designed to allow users to express themselves in playful ways on the platform. These updates include video animations, tools to edit Stories and Memories, and the ability to add animations to audio.
As Meta tries to maintain Facebook’s importance among younger users on its popular app, it’s possible to bet that the new features will provide a personalized experience that appeals to Gen Z.
The new animation uses animations on static images, making the subject appear to be shaking, making a heart shape, or wearing a party hat. For best results, Facebook recommends using a clear image of one person facing the camera. Photos can be pulled directly from the user’s camera or photos already on the platform. The company also plans to add more video options throughout the year.

Facebook is also expanding its Stories – short photos and videos that disappear after 24 hours – and Memories – a section that reproduces articles from the same day years ago – and “Restyle,” a tool that uses Meta AI to rethink the appearance of photos uploaded by users.
After posting a photo to a Story or selecting a Memory to share, users can click Restyle and enter a caption or choose from preset themes, including anime, portraits, lights, ethereal, and more. There are also options to change mood, lighting, and colors, and even change to new backgrounds like a beach or a city.
To add to the content, Facebook also starts rolling out slow motion animations. By clicking on the new rainbow “A” icon, users can choose from a variety of colorful images, such as falling leaves or rolling ocean waves, to make their posts appear in the feed. The company says that the base season is coming soon.

With nearly 2.1 billion daily users, Facebook is still the social media giant. However, in recent years, it has struggled to attract and retain young people.
