On Saturday, February 7, law enforcement officers were present at Anne Guthrie’s home and her husband, Tommaso Scioni. The residence was one of the last places 84-year-old Nancy was found after having dinner with Anne and Sione on January 31. Sione allegedly drove Nancy home. The next day, Nancy was reported missing after she failed to attend a church service virtually.
“I think it should have been searched immediately, not because they considered the family a suspect, but because of any evidence that might have been left in the home,” Wald explained. “Did she call from there? If she did, who did she call? All of those things are important.”
The FBI has released the first video footage of potential suspects in the disappearance of “Today” anchor Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie. “Additional images have been recovered from the same camera on Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning she disappeared, including two videos of the person,” FBI Director Kash Patel wrote via X on Tuesday, February.
Nancy’s shocking disappearance is being treated as an ongoing criminal investigation and potential kidnapping. An alleged ransom note has been sent to multiple media outlets, demanding $6 million in Bitcoin for a safe return to Nancy, Tucson ABC affiliate KGUN9 reports.

“I just wanted to come up and share some thoughts as we enter another week of this nightmare,” Savannah said while thanking fans for their prayers. “We believe that somehow, (Nancy) felt these prayers and that even in this moment, in this darkest place, God was lifting her up. We believe our mom is still there.”
Savannah also added that if anyone has any information about her mother’s whereabouts, they are asked to contact authorities.
“We need your help. Law enforcement is working tirelessly around the clock to try to bring her home, to try to find her. She was taken from us and we don’t know where and we need your help,” she said. “So, I’m just here to ask you, not just for your prayers, but wherever you are, even if you’re far away from Tucson, if you see anything, hear anything, if anything seems strange to you, please report it to law enforcement.”
Savannah Guthrie’s family is asking police to remain stationed at Nancy Guthrie’s home as the search for the 84-year-old continues. “At the request of the Guthrie family, PCSD will be stationed at Nancy Guthrie’s residence to ensure safety,” the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement shared via social media on Sunday, February 8.
