Trump calls for nationalizing U.S. elections. Is this a big deal?


US President Donald Trump reiterated his false claims of fraud in the 2020 election in a podcast interview while urging Republicans to “nationalize” the election.

The U.S. Constitution provides that states decide how to conduct elections, and voting has long been administered by local officials across the country.
