Tony Hawk is clearing up speculation that he married a convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epsteinprivate island.
“Here are the facts and timeline for my wedding,” the 57-year-old professional skateboarder wrote via Instagram Story on Thursday, February 5. people. “I apologize if they don’t fit the narrative of nonsense.”
Hawke was married four times and kept a detailed timeline of his multiple life events. The athlete married his first wife Cindy Dunbar 1990 in Fallbrook, California. Three years after divorcing Dunbar in 1993, Hawke and Erin Lee Hilton Hotel in San Diego.
After breaking up with Lee in 2004, Hawke continued to have a relationship with Lee Luozi Merlin. The pair married in 2006 on the surf island of Tavarua in Fiji. After divorcing Merriam in 2011, Hawk and his wife founded The One Katherine Goodman. The couple married in 2015 at Adare Manor in Ireland. None of the locations Hawk listed were Little St. James, Epstein’s private estate in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Hawke claims the confusion came from a guest at his 2006 wedding to Merriam. One of the guests is said to be a man named Mark Epstein. Coincidentally, Jeffrey had a brother named Mark, but Hawke claimed his wedding guests had no relation to the late financier’s family. (Epstein committed suicide in August 2019 at the age of 66 after being arrested on federal sex trafficking charges. He had previously pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting a child for prostitution and soliciting a minor and served 13 months in prison.)
“In 2006, a guest took photos of the Fijian ceremony and licensed them to Getty Images,” explains Hawke. “His name is (coincidentally) Mark Epstein. A brilliant extreme sports photographer from Wyoming, no relation to Jeffrey Epstein (whom I have never met, and I have never been to his island). This is easily verifiable information. Facts are irreplaceable.”
Hawke concluded by apologizing to his friend Mark for the “whirlpool of misinformation”.

Hawke’s involvement was rumored after an FBI agent mentioned him in an October 2024 email after the U.S. Department of Justice released Epstein’s dossier last month. The agent was investigating a case involving a minor who was allegedly trafficked.
The email states that the victim claimed that “she was taken from Ireland to Jeffrey Epstein’s Island when she was 13 years old” and that “she was there when Prince Edward was there and when Tony Hawk got married on the island.”
Hawke isn’t the only star name deleted In the Epstein dossier. Many stars include prince andrew, JK Rowling, bill gates More is mentioned in legal documents. Gates, who worked with Epstein during his lifetime, has broken his silence about his ties to the disgraced billionaire.
“Apparently, Jeffrey wrote himself an email. That email was never sent,” Gates, 70, told Australia’s Nine News on Wednesday, February 4. “This email is fake. I don’t know what he was thinking. Was he trying to attack me in some way? Every minute I was with him, I regret it and I apologize for doing that.”
