Efforts to provide care for newborns in Gaza hospitals

The director of a major Gaza hospital says he is still seeing cases of malnourished and traumatized mothers giving birth to underweight or premature babies, more than three months into a fragile ceasefire between Hamas and Israel.

Although significant aid has been allowed to flow to Gaza since the ceasefire began, the United Nations says it is not nearly enough.

Israel says it is fulfilling its obligations under the ceasefire agreement and allowing more food and medical aid to enter Gaza.
