below deckof Daisy Kelliher called Ben Robinson Living in a cabin – but can a chef really live there?
“My big challenge in the kitchen this season (has to do with Ben),” Daisy told EXCLUSIVELY US Weekly before the show returns on Monday, February 2. “Ben is a really fun guy to work with. He’s really funny, he’s got a great personality, and he’s great television. But he’s definitely a challenge.”
Daisy admits there are similarities Between her and Ben.
“Maybe we’re both just as stubborn as each other,” she points out. “(Our problem) is all those things. It’s the cabin, it’s the way he manages the team and the way he runs the kitchen. There are difficulties with communication – so timing and not envisioning service in the same way. There are a lot of difficulties and challenges, to be honest.”
Despite their issues, Daisy said Ben is a “difficult person to be angry with,” adding, “But neither of us wants to be hostile, and I think both of us really want to provide the best for our guests. Since that’s our primary focus, we’re always able to come back to that and say, ‘Okay, look, we like each other. We have the same goals. How can we make that happen?'”
She continued: “But I think towards the end of the season I became frustrated. We had some conflicts and there were definitely some arguments. It was difficult because I was trying to do a good job – just like him. Everything was a challenge, honestly.”

The Season 4 trailer surprises viewers as Daisy accuses Ben of “living in the cabin.” while speaking us”, she clarified the issue, saying: “Basically every night off. He didn’t move in, but he basically moved in every night off.
Daisy recalls having to “Pick” her fight with Ben.
“I let it go. Even (captain) Jason (Chambers) would say, ‘Let it go, pick your battles.’ There were a lot of other things going on. It felt like it was just a small thing that was worth arguing about, but I guess I just wouldn’t let it go and he wouldn’t let it go,” she continued. “He wore a guest robe, but he did it to annoy me and he made it his own. As you’ve seen throughout the season, he wore it all over the boat and it excited me. So, of course, I couldn’t let it go. I think he’s been doing things all season that have upset me.”
Chief Stew has previously teased us profoundThe result of her back and forth and Ben.
“I took no prisoners going into this season. I knew what I wanted. I didn’t want to be fooled, so I came into it very much with that mindset,” Daisy teased in November 2025. “Ben challenged me and he was not easy to work with.”
Despite the challenges, Daisy praised her time with Ben, she told us Eventually a friendly relationship was established.
“I think he respects me as well. So, I think I’ve really grown as a chief stew and as a person — and it’s not easy. I don’t like confrontation, but I need it. I’m very sure of what I want to achieve,” she said at the time. “I was like, ‘I’m not going to let any staff get in the way of what I’m going to do this season.'” We had conflicts and that’s the job (drama). Now, I’m drinking with him at the bar. “
Recently, Daisy has been involved in Will probably work with this again.
“That’s always a hard question. If you asked me nine months ago, I probably would have said no. But now the time has passed,” she added. “I will. Ben is a great chef — whether he wants to work with me or not. We went through the season and came up with some great suggestions. It wouldn’t be a show if we didn’t fight with each other.”
