Spotify releases group chats

After starting a message format Last August, Spotify is now rolling out group chats. The company he announced this week that users can now share podcasts, playlists, and audiobooks they’re listening to with up to 10 people.

You can just start chatting with someone you shared with before. For example, if you have a playlist with someone or have joined a Jam or Blend together, you can start a chat with them.

The move comes as Spotify continues to invest in developing its streaming service group information. Over the years, the company has gradually added social features, including things like comments on podcasts and the ability to track someone and see what they listen to.

Spotify also said that users should continue to share content outside of the app, as its messaging feature is supposed to accommodate this.

Messages are encrypted at rest and in transit. However, they are not protected by end-to-end encryption.
