The moment British Airways plane loses a wheel as it takes off in Las Vegas

This is the moment a British Airways flight to London suddenly lost its wheels shortly after taking off from Las Vegas.

At Harry Reid International Airport, the right rear wheel can be seen detaching from the Airbus A350-1000 and falling to the ground. “Safety and security are fundamental to everything we do and we support the authorities’ investigations,” British Airways said in a statement to the BBC.

Harry Reid International Airport said it was aware of an incident involving a British Airways plane bound for London on Monday, adding that the aircraft “landed safely without further incident.”

The tires were reportedly retrieved from the airport, no injuries or damage were reported and the National Safety Council has been notified.
