Google on Tuesday announced its affordable Google AI Plus plans are now available in all markets where its AI plans are available. This includes the US, where it will cost $7.99 per month.
The expansion brings affordable plans to 35 new countries and territories, after already being launched many international markets, what started and Indonesia September is over.
The plan includes access to Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro in Gemini software, Flow’s AI tools for filmmaking, search and writing support in NotebookLM, and more. It also offers 200GB of storage and the ability to share the benefits of your plan with up to five other members.
Existing Google One Premium 2TB subscribers will get access to all the benefits of the Google AI Plus plan in the next few days, the company says.
Initially focused on emerging markets, the Google AI Plus plan was created as a first step beyond free access to Gemini and other AI tools for those who do not want or cannot afford to subscribe to more expensive ones. Google AI Pro planwhich is usually $20 per month.
While the cost of the Plus plan varies by region, its $8 per month price may introduce a new, mainstream audience to Google’s AI technology here in the United States. Elsewhere, this plan costs less than $5 a month. For example, users in India pay ₹399 ($4.44 USD) per month.
When it first started, Google explained that system is designed to bring access to Gemini, Veo, and other artificial intelligence tools to emerging markets at affordable prices. It was also designed to compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT Go systemwho $8 per month in the US, or less so in some emerging markets. These initiatives are designed to attract a large number of Internet users who can become regular AI customers over time, giving companies an increase in their AI adoption numbers.
