Justin Hartley’s tracker Having dealt with numerous unexpected actor exits – so Who is back and who is not back Season 4?
The hit CBS series, premiering in February 2024, introduces fictional survivalist Colt (Hartley) as he travels across the country to help solve various missing persons cases. The cast continues to grow with the addition of characters such as trainer Teddi (Robin Weigert) and Velma (Abby McEnany), Hacker Bobby (Eric Grace) and lawyer Reenie (Fiona Rene).
Weigert role was logged out and McKennie and Grace soon followed.
“I do think it’s evolving. If I can’t evolve these characters — Randy or Renee or Bobby — they’re not just people who pick up the phone and say, ‘Okay, here’s the answer.’ That’s when the show calls,” executive producer Elwood Reed Exclusive story US Weekly May 2025. “The challenge is you have to understand them, and I think that’s interesting. That’s the challenge of the show, not letting it fall into a formula.”
Reed pointed out that they did not want tracker arrive”complacent“.
“My only rule for the show is that every week Colt comes to a new place and there’s a new case. How he gets those answers and what he uses on the team, those are up for grabs,” Reed teased. “We’re going to try to meet more of these (local) weird characters as the season goes on. Just Colt coming in and interacting with the other characters. It’s fun to see Justin flex those muscles with a really good guest cast.”
Recently, Reed weighed in on the changes on screen. “We realize there are some characters that are going to come up and if it works out, we’ll bring them back,” he told us us December 2025. “I do think the show can’t always do that. But when it does, it makes the world feel more connected.”
Reed points out that there are There is only one constant in the show: Hartley’s fan-favorite character.
“Audiences gravitate to it because they’ve seen the character before. But I think they still think the core DNA of the show is Colt. The appeal of this guy is that he’s a mystery to himself,” he added. “He’s a mystery to the audience. We see him and his downtime piecing together pieces of his past.”
He concluded: “I don’t know if we’re going to be able to put it all together, but he’s going to try to keep doing it. It’s just something we think about. In my opinion, the biggest improvement we’ve made this year is getting people in the same room. As far as that connectivity, I do think audiences enjoy seeing their characters in the same place.”
Now CBS has updated tracker For Season 4, keep scrolling to see which cast members will be returning and which ones won’t:

There wouldn’t be Trackers without Colt Shaw, so Justin Hartley is expected to be front and center In season four. However, Hartley did not rule out the possibility of Colter’s future death.
Hartley told The Hollywood Reporter in April 2025: “It’s important to continue to up the ante. I love seeing Colt as a hero, finding people and all that. I also love seeing him in suspense thrillers and dangerous situations. I don’t want our audience to forget that this guy is human, he’s not a superhero. He’s going to die! What he’s doing is very, very dangerous.”

After joining Season 1 of Trackers , Robin Wiegert’s character was canceled in the premiere. She is not expected to reprise the role in future seasons.

Season two brought even more attention, with Eric Grace conspicuously absent for six episodes. It was later revealed that Grace and Abby McKennie would not be returning – at least for now.

Eric Grace’s Bobby missed a few episodes before being officially cancelled. There has been no word on a return, with Grace and Abby McKennie yet to break silence on their respective departures.

Aside from Justin Hartley, Fiona Rene is the only remaining OG cast member on the show.
In August 2025, Reed teased to Us , “We’re going to try to develop the rest of the characters, especially what happens to Renee and where we leave her and what her life is like. The show always comes back to that. The reason the show works, in my opinion, is because Colt is the guy who comes in and says, ‘I can help you.'” It works every time. “

Chris Lee brought in before Eric Graise exits – and Expected to return.
“Having Chris Lee and Fiona Rene in the same space just makes you have (more) fun. What we’ve seen so far is really interesting. It makes a huge difference,” Reed told TVLine in September 2025. “Now, when Colt calls, it feels like he’s conjuring something that’s already in motion. It’s all part of my ‘evil plan’ to utilize Fiona more – the more you can build her world, the more the show benefits.”
