The 40-year-old model graces the cover of this month’s issue, wearing an Alaïa perforated vinyl ruffle top and ruffled skirt, paired with strappy C.Ford leather gloves and d’Alba Global Co Ltd’s White Truffle Nourishing Treatment Mask.
legendary photographer Steven Klein The aim of taking these photographs was to “explore the seductive tension between touch, texture and the power of exposure”.
“Steven and I didn’t just shoot images, we built a character and a world together,” Sheik raved about the cover she shot with Klein, 60. “A true collaboration! Through their shared art direction and concept development, this story captures fearless, leather-clad femininity—bold, free, and fully present in her ‘yes’ era.”
Perhaps one of the most iconic photos is of Shayk wearing nothing but a Jean Paul Gaultier leather cape. She went naked and wore edgy black boots and eye-catching bold accessories, including a dominatrix-inspired choker.

In another portrait, Shayk channeled her inner biker babe as she rode atop a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle and rocked a micro-studded leather triangle bikini, which she paired with a drawstring bodice and matching choker. She wore thigh-high boots, a stylish hairstyle and brunette glamor that complemented her thick chocolate hair.
“Everything we did in this story came from hours of conversations that Steven and I had about her – the character that we created together. Who is she? What is she like? How is she? Travel across the world? Sheik mused.
“She’s bold. She’s masculine in her own way. She lives in leather,” the model added. “She went out… Unapologetic and completely herself.“.
Shayk detailed how the shoot was a liberating experience for her, especially after her milestone birthday on January 6. a proud mom Daughter Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper, 8 shared with her ex Bradley Cooperborn in March 2017.
“No more queues. No more boxes of (just a) ‘model’ or ‘just this’. If something brings me joy, if I’m passionate about it, if I’m surrounded by a creative partner who inspires me, then I’m going to want to explore it.” sports illustrated Bombshell said.
“To me, (this story) represents a wild kind of femininity. Creating this woman with Steven opened up a lot of visual windows,” she added. “It feels like walking into another world.”
She also posed for a booty-baring photo with one of Klein’s dark horses, showing off her derriere in a tiny thong paired with a black apron and zip-up boots.
“The funny thing is, I can’t even ride a bike, and horses still scare me,” Sheik said. “My daughter rides horses and is always trying to convince me to join her. However, I have always dreamed of standing next to one of Steven’s horses and capturing that iconic image.”
