Bugnia (2025)
It’s hard to classify a movie as weird Bugoniabut it has enough suspenseful moments to qualify as a thriller. It’s also one of the best movies of 2025, a sly satire of conspiracy culture and (possibly) the end of humanity.
Teddy Ganz (Jesse Plemons) is convinced that aliens are plotting to wipe out humanity. He was so convinced of his theory that he kidnapped Michelle Fuller (Emma Stone), a well-dressed pharmaceutical CEO, because he believes she is an alien who is slowly poisoning humanity. and his cousin Tang (Aidan Derbis), Teddy shaves Michelle’s head, ties her up, and interrogates her about her plans for the future of Earth. She is naturally afraid, but humors him until she comes up with a plan to escape. The only obstacle? Teddy has done this before and unfortunately he’s very good at it.
Sharing anything else will be a crime Bugoniacleverly reveals its many secrets with wit and dark humor. Michelle’s predicament is truly suspenseful, and the film’s twists and turns will keep you guessing until the very end. Stone is in fine form as always, but it’s Plemons who leave the most lasting impression as a seemingly sane man who needs to believe in a distant theory to justify his many failures.
“Transformation” (2008)

director Clint Eastwood He exploits all the value of this stunning real-life setting, but he never makes Christine a two-dimensional character. She is convinced she is right and wants to find out what happened to her son and why the police want her to raise a child that is not her own. Jolie was nominated for an Oscar for her performance, one of her best – committed, emotional and consistently convincing. It makes you wish she had more roles like this.

“Interior” (2023)
Nemo (Willem Dafoe) is an art thief who’s great at what he does, but when he breaks into a Manhattan high-rise penthouse to steal some expensive paintings, he gets more than he bargained for. As he prepares to leave, the apartment’s security system seals off the apartment, effectively imprisoning him. Unable to communicate with the outside world without getting himself implicated, Nemo must find a way to escape from the luxurious prison before he is discovered.
in is a different kind of thriller where the hero’s main enemy is his location. Nemo’s battle is against four walls and a state-of-the-art security system that won’t let him out. As the film goes on, Nemo’s desperation grows as his food runs out and water becomes scarce. What you have to guess is not whether Nemo will be captured, but whether he will make it out alive.
“Honey, don’t do this!” (2025)
Minnie O’Donahue (Cooley) is a small-town private investigator who investigates a series of mysterious deaths that appear to be connected to a suspicious church. When Honey is called to the scene of a car accident, she realizes the victim is a potential client who called her that day. Honey discovers that the victim, Mia, is a member of the Four-Way Temple, led by the charismatic Pastor Drew Devlin (chris evans), and her continued investigation leads her down a dark and dangerous path involving drug dealing and dead bodies.
This neo-noir comedy from Ethan Coen, one half of the Coen Brothers directing duo, draws heavily on the brothers’ well-known style of combining gripping crime narratives with quirky, even slapstick, humor. Dear no! It was praised by critics for its performances and world-building, and was found to be consistently funny and silly that often made up for its lazy narrative. Despite this, Qualley’s performance was considered outstanding and well worth watching.

Sicario (2015)

She is assigned by a mysterious government official (Josh Brolin) joins a task force to take down a ruthless and powerful Mexican drug cartel. Working with the mysterious Alejandro (Benicio Del Toro), Kate’s ideals are tested and the lines between good and evil are blurred as she becomes entangled in the crime and chaos of the U.S.-Mexico drug trade.
The master’s guidance comes from Denis Villeneuve (dune) and Roger Deakins’ stunning photography combine to paint an unflinching portrait of the gray areas of human morality and the war on drugs. In addition to being a wonderfully directed and stylized film, Sicario’s The storyline is tight and engaging, further enhanced by superb performances from the entire cast. At the 88th Academy Awards, the film was nominated for Best Cinematography, Best Original Score and Best Sound Editing.

“Border” (2025)
