Hilary Duff is turning it all the way up with a NSFW new track that fans are calling the “song of the year.”
“I just want the beginning, I don’t want the end/I want the part where you say damn/Give you a clue/In the back of a dive bar/And then sneak home and wake your roommates,” Duff, 38, sang in a video posted to Instagram on Wednesday, January 7, in which her lyrics dealt with steamy hookups and a tepid romance.
“I want the highlights, 10 out of 10/The butterflies when I hold your hand/Before they sweep us under the bed/We almost become roommates/I touch myself at the front door/But the way you don’t even look at me anymore,” she continued.
The pop star released a snippet of a single from her upcoming album, Luck…or whateverand effectively escaped the “toxic” mom group drama she was dragged into over a personal essay Ashley Tisdale France and published in tailoring. Duff’s new album will be released on February 20, a few months after she released her first single “Mature” in November. The new album will be her first since 2015.
